Within the series of Restaurants I will represent in my opinion the most stylish and unique restaurants world-wide. Well, you may ask whether I’m the food expert – no, I am not, but I believe I can smell the delicious.
Number one in the series – Höst restaurant, located in Copenhagen. The city that I have lived for more than 6 years. As you might know, Copenhagen is the city full of good experiences and is famous not only of old and modern architecture, Scandinavian interior design and minimalist fashion but also of its unique and quality restaurants. Probably many of you heard the name Noma, right? The best restaurant in the world of 2014. But this time it’s not Noma, it’s Höst. The restaurant, which in 2013 has won two highly prestigious Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in London for its distinctive Nordic design created by Norm Architects, the design company Menu & Cofoco.
Höst is located in the heart of Copenhagen, just near the lakes, in the neighbourhood of Nansensgade. The restaurant is on the ground and basement floors, divided into the rooms.
According to newnorm.dk, the restaurant Höst expresses everything that could be categorised as “Nordic”, and is the exquisite result of clashes: romantic yet modern, urban yet rural and rustic yet simplistic. It holds a very special place in people’s hearts because of its multiple stories, mixed inspirations and materials.
At Höst the classic virtues of Nordic cooking finds its contemporary counterpart. And in the kitchen traditional ingredients are combined with the visions characterising the New Nordic Cuisine, resulting in something aesthetically pleasing for all senses.
